Why apartment moves in Nicosia are different

Working with the lift
If your building has a lift, the first call we make is to the building manager to confirm you can reserve it for the move. Walk-up apartments are still common in older parts of Nicosia. We send a larger crew, usually three movers, so we can keep two on the stairs and one loading the truck. Heavy items like beds and wardrobes are dismantled at the apartment and carried in pieces.

Parking is often the biggest unknown in a Nicosia move. Streets near the centre and the seafront are narrow, with limited space for a 3.5-tonne van. We arrive early to secure a spot and, where possible, ask building management about loading zones. If parking is restricted we can shuttle items with a smaller vehicle from a nearby legal spot.

Furniture that needs special care
Sofas, mattresses and large mirrors are the most awkward items in any apartment move. We bring sofa covers, mattress bags and corner protectors as standard. For especially tight stairwells we may suggest balcony delivery using straps — this is more common than people think and we do it safely several times a month in Nicosia.

A studio or 1-bedroom apartment within Nicosia usually takes 2–3 hours with two movers. A 2-bedroom apartment is typically 4–5 hours, and a 3-bedroom 6–7 hours. Inter-city moves from Nicosia to elsewhere on the island add the drive time plus loading and unloading at both ends.
